I’m not sure why, but I’ve been thinking a lot about anger lately. I don’t understand how or why one person’s anger can cause another person to get angry. Like if Alice is mad at Bella, then Bella gets angry at Alice for being mad. Talk about circular logic! I really don’t get it.
I also don’t understand why people have to be angry at other people and only people. For instance, I wanted to go to the gym last night and I can only go with my dad’s guest pass. A few hours before we said we were gonna go, my dad invited my brother’s baseball coach and his son over for a swim. They’re really nice people and have been really good to my family, so when they were here past the time we said we would go, and then still here after the gym closed, I didn’t say anything. At one point my dad asked, “Are you mad?” and I honestly answered, “Yes, but not at you.” He looked at me puzzled and says, “Who are you mad at then?” I looked at him with the same puzzled expression and said, “Nobody, I’m just mad at the situation,” and he just didn’t understand how that was possible.
I feel like everybody looks for someone to blame, even when no one is at fault. Sometimes you have to take a step back and really look at the situation before pointing the finger and I guarantee you, you will save yourself a lot of time and wasted anger.
I’d also like to point out one of the responses I got on the poll this morning. I have started putting an “Other” option on the polls where you can fill in your own answer and on my “Do you like when I add pictures to my posts?” poll, one person wrote: “ur mums a whore and ur a slut“. My initial reaction was, that has absolutely nothing to do with pictures, which is sad but true. Then I thought about the fact that he used “ur” instead of your or you’re and I thought, he probably doesn’t know the difference, so he had to use “ur”, and there was no apostrophe in the word “mum’s”. How depressing! This person has nothing better to do with their lives but insult people on the internet, and he doesn’t even know how to spell said insults! I’ve also decided this person must be in lower high school or younger because the last time someone tried to hurt me by insulting my mum was like 9th grade. So well done random person, you gave me a jolly good laugh!
